How to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey

1. The Texas Diapers Bank
Diapers aren’t always included in disaster relief kits. So the Texas Diapers Bank is putting together relief kits for family.

2. The SPCA of Texas
Animals are always displaced in the immediate aftermath of a natural disaster. Organizations like the SPCA take them in, feed them and try to reunite with families.

3. Save the Children
Save the Children has a Harvey-specific relief fund.
4. AirBNB (Donate days, or sign up for help)
If you operate an AirBNB in North Texas, you can donate days from your rental for those who are need in help.

5. Red Cross
The Red Cross has a Harvey-specific fund.
6. Donate to individual Harvey-related GoFundMe campaigns

7. Donate to the Driscoll Children’s Hospital in Corpus Christi
Here’s a story recapping their efforts to get NICU babies out, prior to Harvey’s arrival. They work to help children in need.

Like the SPCA, the Humane Society of North Texas are taking in pets displaced by Harvey.

9. Donate blood to the Carter Blood Bank, if you’re local

10. In your own state, you can find out if your state’s urban search and rescue teams are being deployed to Texas.
E.g. These are California’s teams. I’m asking our local elected officials if they’re being deployed.

They’re a local community center, who also helps in the event of disasters like Harvey.
